Rest in peace to Streameast. One of the largest live sports piracy sites in he world was shut down in a tandom effort by the Egyptian Police and the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment.
According to Deadline, Streameast pirated live events across America’s four major sports leagues, boxing, MMA, and more. Streameast was investigated from July 2024 to June 2025, arresting operators for suspicion of copyright infringement.
In the arrest, authorities seized three laptops, four smartphones, 10 visas with over $6 million in Egyptian punds, $123,000 in American currency and $200,000 in USD crypto wallets.
Charles Rivkin, the chairman of ACE and CEO of the MPA, said in a statement, “With this landmark action, we have put more points on the board for sports leagues, entertainment companies, and fans worldwide—and our global alliance will stay on the field as long as it takes to identify and target the biggest piracy rings across the globe.”
