GloRilla is speaking out after being arrested on felony drug charges in Georgia and says there’s a bigger story the public needs to hear.

According to TMZ, the Memphis rapper, born Gloria Woods, was taken into custody in Forsyth County on Tuesday. Authorities say she was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of more than one ounce of marijuana. Both are considered felonies under Georgia law. GloRilla was released later the same day after posting a $22,000 bond.

CRAZY‼️ My House got Home Invaded Saturday
While I was in Indianapolis performing for the WNBA all star game & instead of Focusing on finding the Suspects , they focus on some cannabis

2. My house got robbed
3. I wasn’t home

Her legal team issued a statement pushing back on the arrest and shedding light on what they say is the real issue at hand. “The arrest of Gloria Woods is a disturbing window into how warped law enforcement priorities have become,” her attorney told TMZ. The statement also revealed that GloRilla’s home had recently been broken into while she was away.

“Ms. Woods was out of town when her residence became a target for a group of home invaders who most likely knew she wasn’t there. What they didn’t know was that she had family staying with her that were traumatized by the violent entrance of this group who grabbed high-value jewelry before taking off once they realized the home wasn’t vacant,” the statement read.

GloRilla also addressed the situation on socials and made it clear she’s frustrated with how events unfolded. “CRAZY.. My House got Home Invaded Saturday While I was in Indianapolis performing for the WNBA all star game & instead of Focusing on finding the Suspects , they focus on some cannabis..” she posted.

She followed up with a series of points to clarify the story, writing, “1. So no I wasn’t busted 2. My house got robbed 3. I wasn’t home Long story short my house gets home invaded and Im the only one that gets arrested. So that’s tea..”
