Former vice president Kamala Harris is dodging the Governor’s office and instead is eyeing the New York Times’ Bestsellers List. According to Variety, Harris will visit The Late Show with Stephen Colbert for her first visit since 2024 and to announce her memoir, 107 Days, which will detail her near-miracle presidential campaign.

The book is set to be released on Sept. 23. “What the world saw on the campaign trail was only part of the story,” Harris wrote on X.

You can see the full announcement below.

My new book is a behind-the-scenes look at my experience leading the shortest presidential campaign in modern history.

Earlier this week, Harris announced that she will not run for governor of California. The announcement came on social media as many suspected the current governor, Gavin Newsom, is gearing up for a presidential campaign in 2028.

“In recent months, I have given serious thought to asking the people of California for the privilege to serve as their Governor,” Harris shared. “I love this state, its people, and its promise. It is my home. But after deep reflection, I’ve decided that I will not run for Governor in this election.”
