Chris Brown has spoken out after fans experienced major problems at his Breezy Bowl show at Truist Park over the weekend. Some attendees report waiting in line for hours only to be informed that their tickets were no longer valid.

On Wednesday, Brown responded directly to the backlash. “I saw the reviews about the difficulty at some venues with the parking, seating, etc… Hope yall understand this is my first stadium tour so I don’t know if the people in charge of that in the cities realized the capacity I would bring out. This is the first time I’ve ever been in these venues.” He added, “Unfortunately, I’m not in charge of that.”

Among those affected was Chad Powell, who purchased three VIP floor tickets at $1,500 each. When his group arrived, the tickets would not scan. “His scanner read error, error, error, and it was in red. The guy said, ‘I’m sorry, but your section doesn’t exist anymore,’” Powell shared. Although he was eventually allowed inside, he did not get what he paid for. “We didn’t get what we paid for. It was not the same section, we were not in the same row, not the VIP,” he told Channel 2’s Cory James.

Other fans did not make it in at all. Tanisha Renee said her night ended outside the stadium in tears. “I didn’t get into the concert that I paid for,” she said. “I’m going to go back home and hopefully Ticketmaster or whomever makes this right.”
