Lil Baby Welcomes 4,000 Families to 2025 Back to School Fest in Atlanta

This weekend, Grammy-winning rapper and Atlanta native Lil Baby continued his commitment to the community by hosting the fifth annual Back to School Fest, presented by his nonprofit, The Jones Project. The event welcomed more than 4,000 families to West End Production Park for a vibrant day of support and celebration ahead of the new school year.

In partnership with j.mcallister Events, The Jessie Rose Project, The Athlete’s Foot, Fanatics, Slim & Husky’s Pizza, Zaxby’s, and Dr. Bombay, the fest provided students with backpacks, uniforms, school supplies, wellness kits, shoes, and exclusive Fanatics-branded gear.

The space was transformed into a carnival-like atmosphere featuring rides, bounce houses, games, face painting, and free on-site haircuts and braiding. A Jones Project-branded bus acted as a central hub for community engagement, and attendees were treated to meals and treats from Zaxby’s, Slim & Husky’s, and Dr. Bombay Ice Cream.

Local leaders including Atlanta City Councilmembers Andrea Boone, Michael J. Bonds, and Marci Overstreet, along with Atlanta Board of Education member Eshe Collins, were present to show support.

Lil Baby began this initiative in 2021 with the goal of providing resources and support for youth in his hometown. “At this point, it’s about the kids,” he said at the first event. Now in its fifth year, the Back to School Fest continues to leave a lasting impact, reinforcing Lil Baby’s belief that every child deserves to start school confident, equipped, and inspired.
