Roc Nation has partnered with the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) to launch a new student design competition beginning Aug. 29 for the Fall 2025 semester. The initiative aims to empower FIT’s next generation of designers with the opportunity to win a $20,000 prize, equal to a year’s tuition, and see their capsule developed into a Roc Nation 2026 limited-edition collection.
“This initiative is designed to identify and invest in FIT’s brightest minds to help them shape the future of fashion,” said Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez. “Our hope is to provide students with real-world industry experience while equipping them with the confidence and knowledge to bring their creative concepts to life.”
Students must submit their first-round designs by Oct. 13, with finalists receiving $800 to produce their pieces under FIT faculty supervision. Five students will be chosen to create hoodies, sweatshirts, pants, hats, and an accessory before presenting to Roc Nation’s judging committee in December. The winner, along with runners-up, will be announced in January 2026.
“This design collaboration between Roc Nation and FIT is an example of how talent can span boundaries to inspire creativity on a global scale,” said FIT President Dr. Joyce F. Brown.
