UNINTERRUPTED, the storytelling brand founded by LeBron James and Maverick Carter, has teamed up with global hiring platform Indeed and the LeBron James Family Foundation to launch a national campaign promoting skills-first hiring. The initiative is designed to empower job seekers by highlighting their skills and lived experiences over traditional credentials.

The campaign debuted today with a national commercial narrated by broadcasting legend Ernie Johnson Jr. Using James’ career journey as a lens, the spot imagines a world where his talent went unrecognized, echoing the challenges faced by millions of workers.

“In the work my Foundation does to support families with education and job training, we’ve seen how people can thrive when they’re given an opportunity,” said James. “This campaign with UNINTERRUPTED and Indeed will hopefully open more doors for people to show their skills and experience.”

Indeed CMO James Whitemore added, “We believe people should be hired for what they can do, not just their credentials. Storytelling is a powerful way to show that skills and experience can lead to real opportunities.”

As part of the campaign, UNINTERRUPTED and Indeed will premiere The Main Thing, a four-part limited series hosted by James, on October 1 via UNINTERRUPTED’s YouTube channel. Guests include Tony Hawk, Teyana Taylor, Marques Brownlee (MKBHD), and designer Melody Ehsani. Through candid conversations and challenges, the series redefines career readiness by emphasizing creativity, determination, and real-world skills.
