Some of your favorite artists in hip-hop are big supporters of Donald Trump, who became the 45th and 47th president of the U.S. Despite Trump being convicted of 34 felony counts for falsifying New York business records in May of 2024, it hasn’t swayed rappers from publicly backing him.

Kodak Black is a dedicated Trump fan. In 2021, Trump pardoned Yak, who was serving a four-year prison sentence for a federal firearms charge. The rapper’s time behind bars was a result of a May 2019 arrest. Kodak thinks people hate on Trump because he “keeps it real.” In 2023, during an interview with comedian Theo Von on his This Past Weekend podcast, Sexyy Red gave props to Trump for pardoning Lil Wayne and giving out stimulus checks while he was in office from 2017 to 2021.

Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj stunned the rap world when she became a vocal supporter of Donald Trump in 2026. At an event for the U.S. Treasury Department in Washington, D.C., the New York rapper stated in her speech, “I am probably the president’s number one fan, and that’s not going to change.” Nicki’s endorsement of Trump has divided her fan base (aka the “Barbz”), with some backing their queen, to others criticizing Nicki’s fawning of Trump.

Other artists like New York drill rappers Sheff G and Sleepy Hallow, along with Fivio Foreign and Ye have publicly expressed their support for Donald Trump, as well. So with that, take a look at the list of rappers who continue to endorse Donald Trump.
