Snow Tha Product – Loe Kee Phlicks

On Friday, May 9, Snow Tha Product brought the Before I Crash Out Tour to Los Angeles with a highly anticipated stop at The Novo. From the moment she stepped onto the stage, the Bay Area native commanded the crowd with nonstop energy, sharp lyricism, and an undeniable connection with fans that kept the venue alive throughout the entire night. The performance showcased Snow’s versatility as both a rapper and performer, blending high-energy records with more personal moments that highlighted her journey and artistry.

Performing tracks from across her extensive catalog, Snow gave fans a mix of longtime favorites and newer releases, proving why she has remained one of the most respected independent artists in hip-hop. Throughout the show, she was accompanied by backup dancers whose choreography added another layer of excitement and intensity to the set. The production of the night also embraced her Mexican heritage, featuring a live mariachi group alongside Día de los Muertos-inspired performers and visuals. The combination of music, culture, and stage production created an immersive experience that stood out as one of the night’s defining moments.

Snow Tha Product first began making noise in the music scene in 2007 with the compilation Verbal Assault, Vol. 1. She quickly built momentum through a series of mixtapes that showcased her rapid-fire delivery, bilingual lyricism, and unique presence within hip-hop. In 2011, she released her debut album Unorthodox, helping her gain wider recognition and eventually leading to a deal with Atlantic Records. Even after parting ways with the label, Snow continued to thrive independently, releasing projects on her own terms while maintaining a loyal fanbase and establishing herself as a staple in the rap scene. Her ability to balance authenticity, independence, and consistency has continued to set her apart throughout her career.

Opening the night was Bay Area singer and performer James Elizabeth, who brought an energetic and engaging set to the stage. Elizabeth, who has previously collaborated and toured alongside Snow Tha Product, delivered a performance that blended both singing and rap, warming up the crowd early in the evening. Beyond working with Snow, Elizabeth has also collaborated with Bay Area hip-hop legends such as E-40 and Too Short, further showcasing her versatility within the music scene. Her stage presence and crowd interaction helped set the tone for the night, making her performance a memorable part of the overall experience.

By the end of the evening, Snow Tha Product once again proved why she continues to be one of the most dynamic performers in hip-hop today. Between the live production, cultural elements, backup dancers, and powerful crowd engagement, the Los Angeles stop of the Before I Crash Out Tour delivered an unforgettable night for fans at The Novo.
