In response to a devastating weekend of gun violence that left 49 people shot, including the deaths of Deshawn Johnson, a Rocket Foundation youth camper, and Aaron Hines, known as “Coach Ball,” of Offender Alumni Association, Quavo and The Rocket Foundation have announced the launch of a Therapy Support Fund.
The fund aims to provide mental health support for youth and families directly impacted by the violence. Partnering with grantees HOPE Hustlers and Offender Alumni Association, The Rocket Foundation is donating and raising funds to offer trauma-informed therapeutic services, mentorship, and frontline support in communities suffering from repeated violence.
Quavo, a GRAMMY-nominated artist and philanthropist, is calling for action to help break the cycle of trauma. The Therapy Support Fund will offer real-time care to those affected and help community groups lead long-term healing efforts.
