Another summer is coming to a close and with that, another one of Beyonce’s iconic tours is also coming to a close. The artist’s Cowboy Carter tour wrapped up an impressive international tour that had no shortage of “wow” moments. Here are some of the best from the tour’s highlight reel:
Destiny’s Child reunion: Beyonce put on quite the grand finale at her final show in Las Vegas, bringing out former band mates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams to perform classics such as “Bootylicious,” “Lose My Breath,” and more.
Surprise guest appearances: Beyonce surprised fans at her Paris show, where husband Jay-Z joined her to perform some of the couple’s throwback hits such as Crazy in Love” and “Drunk in Love.” She also brought out Miley Cyrus in Paris where the two performed “II Most Wanted” off of the tour’s namesake album. Shaboozey also joined Bey in Las Vegas to perform “Sweet Honey Buckin.’”
The kids steal the show: Following in her parents’ footsteps, Blue Ivy showed that she has what it takes to be a serious performer in her own right, performing alongside her mom and showcasing her own moves and talent. Beyonce and Jay-Z’s other daughter Rumi also appeared and showed that she is a young force to be reckoned with as well.
Beyonce goes high-tech: Family members, friends, and other artists weren’t the only ones joining Queen Bey on stage. Her concert also featured lifelike robots and while one may have accidentally spilled an entire drink, they added a futuristic touch to the performances.
Beyonce does country fashion her way: Perhaps one of the biggest takeaways from the tour wasn’t a particular event or performance, but Beyonce’s iconic country-inspired looks, including a few denim on denim fits, several American-flag inspired pieces, a paisley jumpsuit that only she could pull off, and blending belt buckles and other country staples with high fashion for looks that will go down in fashion history.
