Female Rapper ICEY Steps into the Spotlight with “Pop It”

ICEY is making waves with her latest single, “Pop It,” and it is exactly what its title states: an energetic ballad about seizing the moment and basking in the limelight. Carthage, Mississippi-born ICEY is the ultimate rags-to-riches tale of an individual who bided her time until it was her moment. This track is hers, but first and foremost, it belongs to anyone who is familiar with the hustle and the anticipation of when you’re about to blow up.

The Festival of Victory

“Pop It” is an aggressive statement of ICEY’s direction and resilience. Its production is provided by J from NNGE Records, and it offers her solo artistry—no features, no co-writers, just ICEY and her pen. Its full-bodied soundscape is provided by low 808s, brash horns, and synths, all topped off with an undulating marching band bounce that pays respects to early 2000s club music but refreshes it for its era. That makes it the perfect party banger, primed to illuminate any party.

The Creative Process

Recorded at Goldie Sound Studios, Tallahassee and mixed at NNGE’s studio, Dallas, “Pop It” is a tasty teaser of ICEY’s potential to become a star if she keeps grinding. Its official music video, will include colorful visuals created by GHL Media and WestSide Villains and will even more increase all about its release.

From Small Town to Big Dreams

The journey that took ICEY to where she is today goes deep and rich. Born and raised in a small town where everybody knew their neighbours, music was always her affair. From churchchoirs to girls’ group and school talent shows, music was her thing. It was only during the 2020 pandemic that she came to embrace her niche and that was rap. What was once an outlet for expressions transformed into an incredibly powerful art form.

Residing presently in Tallahassee, Florida, and managed by NNGE Records, ICEY brings forth her raw honesty and brave nature to every track. She sings about women who are hardworking, loyal, and deserving of respect—whatever the occasion, whether club, cookout, or baby shower, where ICEY’s on aux or on mic, you’re guaranteed to turn up.

Influences and Inspiration

ICEY takes inspirations from some of the most familiar names such as NBA YoungBoy, Drake, and Latto and marries them together with her unique style to construct something new and unique. What her music represents about rising and winning for women everywhere resonates for women everywhere who hustle on the down low, hopefully, for them to be out in the light.

Conclusion

And with “Pop It,” ICEY is not just entering the spotlight, but owning it! It’s proof of her experiences, her grind, and her belief in herself! With upcoming music and video releases, her fans can only
expect honesty and self-empowerment from her, and she’s ready to slay! Watch out for ICEY; she’s just getting started, and it’s only going to get better!
