Freeway Rick Ross Builds Boxing and Music Ventures with Team Freeway

Freeway Rick Ross isn’t just reflecting on his past; he is actively building his future in sports, music, and entertainment.

“Absolutely! Well, I’m already in it, you know?” Ross said to Scoop B when asked about his transition. “I’m knee deep in entertainment. I’ve been doing music since I’ve been home. I haven’t had the success that I’ve been looking for but I’ve definitely been doing football, boxing now… I have eight guys right now under contract for boxing.”

Ross explained that the ventures are divided. “The boxing is under Team Freeway Boxing and the music business is Freeway Music Group,” he shared. His boxing roster includes Raleek Vaughn of Queens, Shy Money of Goldsboro, Jason Moreno of Iselin, Xavier Washington of Dallas, Chase from Detroit, Malachi Jones of Philadelphia, Anthony Peterson, and rising star Kid Austin, also known as Floyd Schofield.

On the music side, Ross is crafting an album featuring 12 emerging artists. “I’m going after artists that’s hot in their city,” he said. “We’re gonna put an album together.”
