Oh snap, the hilarious fan-favorite duo from Scary Movie, one of comedy’s biggest parody franchises, is officially making a comeback. Regina Hall and Anna Faris have confirmed they will reprise their iconic roles as Brenda and Cindy in the sixth installment of the Scary Movie series, as reported exclusively by Deadline.

“We can’t wait to bring Brenda and Cindy back to life and be reunited with our great friends Keenen, Shawn and Marlon three men we’d literally die for (in Brenda’s case, again),” the two actresses shared in a joint statement.

Get this, Hall and Faris first brought Brenda and Cindy to life in the original Scary Movie back in 2000. The pair became the only characters to appear in every installment through 2013’s Scary Movie 5, cementing their place as staples of the franchise’s outrageous humor.

But wait, before the reboot was even confirmed, Faris had expressed how much she wanted to work with Hall again. “I would love to work with Regina again. I just love her so much,” she revealed. “We would make each other giggle all day long. Regina Hall would be my answer [regarding a reprise]. And money. But mostly all Regina!”

What’s more, Hall echoed that excitement last year when news broke that the Wayans brothers were returning to lead the revival. “I’m just very excited to know that the Wayans, who actually started the project out of their idea, are back on board and at the helm again. I’m excited for them. We’ll see if Brenda is in this new world. I’m thrilled at the possibility that the band could get back together again. That would be fun.”

The return of Brenda and Cindy will not be the only familiar faces in the reboot. Shawn Wayans, Keenen Ivory Wayans, and Marlon Wayans are also back, teaming up once again with Miramax, the studio behind the first two Scary Movie films.
