The Caribbean Music Awards are stepping onto a bigger stage this year. Caribbean Elite Group has announced a new partnership with BET Media Group to bring the third annual Caribbean Music Awards to television screens across the U.S. The event will air on Friday, September 12, at 8 PM ET/PT on BET, aligning perfectly with Brooklyn’s world-famous Labor Day festivities.

For the first time, the show will be broadcast on cable TV, marking a historic moment that highlights the growing global influence of Caribbean music and culture. BET, long recognized as the leading media institution for Black entertainment and storytelling, will use its platform to amplify the voices and artistry of the Caribbean community.

“Caribbean culture represents an essential dimension of the Black experience, and at BET Media Group, we remain steadfast in our role as the leading media institution dedicated to amplifying Black culture,” said Raymond Goulbourne, EVP, Broadcast Media Sales at BET. “It is an honor to present the richness, artistry, and vibrancy of the Caribbean through this historic inaugural broadcast.”

The partnership expands beyond the televised ceremony, with BET also set to live stream red carpet arrivals on BET.com, YouTube, and Facebook, as well as the official Caribbean Music Awards channels, on Thursday, August 28, live from Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre.

This year’s celebration, themed “Voices of the Caribbean,” promises unforgettable performances from Skinny Fabulous, Lila Iké, Lady Lava, Kranium, Chronic Law, Romain Virgo, Full Blown, Maureen, Konshens, and more surprise guests. Honorees for the evening include Busta Rhymes (Elite Icon Award), Bounty Killer (Lifetime Achievement Award), Carimi (Legacy Honors), Sizzla Youth Foundation (Humanitarian Honors), Shirley Ann Cyril-Mayers (Gospel Honors), Austin “Super Blue” Lyons (Calypso Honors), and Kerwin Du Bois (Producer Honors).

With music, culture, and legacy converging, the Caribbean Music Awards 2025 is set to be a defining moment in celebrating the past, present, and future of Caribbean artistry.
