Diddy’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, recently told CBS News that the Bad Boy mogul hasn’t expressed any immediate plans to return to music, but he does have his sights set on the stage.
In an interview published Wednesday and cited by AllHipHop, Agnifilo shared that Diddy hopes to perform at Madison Square Garden after his release from prison. While the music icon hasn’t spoken about creating new material, Agnifilo said his client has talked about returning to the spotlight. “He’s going to be back at Madison Square Garden,” he noted. “I guess being on stage, you know. And I said I’ll be there.”
When asked what Diddy wants his fans to know, Agnifilo added, “He has reflected on the blessings that he’s been given, on the imperfections that I think he sees in himself. I think he wants to get out of jail, reestablish a loving, present relationship with all of his seven children. He wants to take care of his mother.”
Diddy was acquitted of the most serious charges in his high-profile trial, including sex trafficking and racketeering, but was convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He now faces up to 20 years behind bars, though prosecutors have recommended a four-year sentence. His next court appearance is scheduled for October 3 for sentencing.
