What a world we live in. They call these times the information age, but is it really? Okay, so G Herbo stirred up socials with a surprising admission that quickly lit up the comment sections. While making an appearance on The Adam Friedland Show, the Chicago rapper found himself in unfamiliar territory when legendary producers J Dilla and Madlib came up during a rapid-fire game of This or That.

Right to the content …

In a now-viral clip, Herbo easily answered the first few matchups. “2Pac or Biggie?” asked Friedland. “2Pac. I’m gonna go with 2Pac… I’ve always been a Pac kind of ni**a,” said Herbo without hesitation.

Then came another classic Southern matchup. “Gucci Mane or Jeezy?” Herbo responded, “Wop. I’m going Gucci.”

But things got awkward when Friedland tossed out, “J Dilla or Madlib… or is that a white question?”

“That was a white question,” Herbo joked, clearly caught off guard. “Hey, don’t kill me, nobody. Who are they?”

Friedland replied, “Well, let me tell you about Hip-Hop culture… they’re the best producers ever.” Herbo, still puzzled, asked, “What did they produce?”

Friedland then explained that Madlib was the creative force behind Quasimoto. Herbo, rolling with the new knowledge, picked Madlib. “It’s the right answer. Dilla died, and it’s very sad, but it’s the right answer,” Friedland added before awkwardly backtracking. “Just ’cause you’re dead doesn’t mean you win… I’m sorry that I said that.”

The Gram comments were quick to react, with a mix of humor, critique, and appreciation for the unexpected cultural lesson. One user wrote, “Cool Adam teaching G Herbo about J Dilla and Madlib wasn’t on my bingo card but even Madlib would say the answer will always be J Dilla.”

Another joked, “Knowing Quas and not Madlib is really funny shoutout Herbo.” Someone else chimed in, “It was not a white question but Madlib is a white answer. J Dilla always.”
