ZELLI’s ‘Chapter 2 Pack’ Is a Warm, Focused Preview of Things to Come (EP Review)

ZELLI’s three-track EP, Chapter 2 Pack, is a deliberate and cohesive close to 2025, wrapping the year in a blanket of sonic warmth and lyrical honesty. True to his multi-genre approach and rooted in the Bay with influences from Louisiana and Oakland, ZELLI crafts a soundscape that feels like comfort food blending jazzy undertones, and smooth R&B-rap fusions into music that is restorative and introspective. Each track serves as a vignette centered on the complexities of relationships with a significant female, weaving narratives of connection, reflection, and growth that meet listeners where they are in their own journeys.

The standout single, “See What It Do,” anchors the project with a hard hitting beat that provides the perfect backdrop for ZELLI’s sharp, storytelling-focused lyricism, capturing a moment of confident intention. Chapter 2 Pack effectively sets the stage for ZELLI’s anticipated 2026 output, making it a satisfying preview to what’s to come. It earns a 7/10, appreciating its crafted intimacy.
