Damon Dash fired back at Charlamagne Tha God on Tuesday (September 16) after a tense appearance on “The Breakfast Club,” warning of legal consequences over what he called false claims made on air.

“Charlemagne, I would advise you not to make up phony sources without real names saying that anything I said was not true, or we will have a legal problem,” Dash wrote in an Instagram post following the interview. “Don’t try to compromise my reputation. I have proof to support everything I say that will stand up in any court.”

The sit-down spiraled quickly, with Dash confronting the hosts over past comments and demanding accountability.

“Let’s do some boundaries, right? Cuz everyone says I yell,” he said early in the conversation, setting the tone for what would become a combative exchange.

Tension escalated when Charlamagne brought up 50 Cent’s recent claim that he had secured the rights to the 2002 cult film Paid in Full.

Dash, who was a producer on the original movie, dismissed the claim outright.

“I talk a different language than most people. I’m a boss. So, number one, there is no rights to be bought. So, I knew he was trolling,” Dash said, before clarifying that no one currently holds the rights. “I told you he doesn’t have the rights. No one has the rights. Who you going to buy the rights from? I wasn’t planning on making Paid in Full about those people again. I was making my Paid in Full. And you don’t have to buy the rights. I was actually there. So, you know, 50 trolls.”

The conversation veered into personal territory when Dash questioned Cam’ron reaching out to his son amid their public feud, asking if that was appropriate behavior.

Things got even more tense when Dash accused Charlamagne of lacking a strong male identity.

“You’re not a proper representation of the masculine Black man,” Dash said, prompting more verbal sparring.

The interview drew heavy criticism online, with social media users calling Dash’s behavior erratic. Comments included, “Dame needs therapy,” and “All he does is talk in circles.”

Earlier this month, 50 Cent announced he had acquired the rights to Paid in Full and is developing a television series based on the film. Cam’ron, who played “Rico” in the original, is attached as an executive producer.
