Cormega

On Friday, July 24, legendary Queensbridge rapper Cormega brought the 25th anniversary celebration of his landmark debut album, The Realness, to Los Angeles. Originally released in 2001, the album remains one of the most revered independent hip-hop releases of its era, and fans packed the venue to witness a special performance honoring its legacy.

Cormega performed The Realness from front to back, taking the audience on a journey through one of Queensbridge’s defining classics. He also treated fans to selections from the rest of his catalog, reminding everyone why he continues to be regarded as one of hip-hop’s most respected lyricists. Twenty-five years after its release, The Realness remains a timeless body of work that continues to influence artists and resonate with listeners around the world.

The celebration also featured fellow Queensbridge native Big Twins of Infamous Mobb, who delivered an energetic set filled with fan favorites. The crowd enthusiastically rapped along as Twins performed classics from the Infamous Mobb catalog, creating one of the night’s most unforgettable moments.

Representing Los Angeles, Pawz One opened the evening with a commanding performance that immediately set the tone for the celebration. The event was hosted by Amedues, who kept the energy flowing throughout the night and helped make the evening a fitting tribute to one of hip-hop’s most celebrated albums.

The Los Angeles stop served as more than just a concert—it was a celebration of legacy, lyricism, and the enduring impact of The Realness. Even after 25 years, Cormega’s music continues to connect generations of hip-hop fans, proving that authentic storytelling and timeless bars never lose their value.
