B.o.B received a heartfelt salute from his hometown when the Atlanta City Council honored him with a formal proclamation backstage at the Buckhead Theatre during his Adventures of Bobby Ray 15th anniversary tour stop.

The recognition came after a performance marking 15 years since the release of his debut album, a project that helped catapult the Atlanta native into global Hip-Hop fame.

The council’s proclamation celebrated not only his chart-topping hits like “Airplanes” and “Nothin’ on You,” but also his contributions to Atlanta’s cultural identity and music scene.

The multi-platinum artist shared a clip of the backstage moment on Instagram, thanking those who’ve supported him from the beginning.

“Dedicating this Proclamation to everyone in my corner since day one! Ground Zero! Years of hard work go into appreciating moments like this! Here’s to ATL! Decatur stand Up!” he wrote in the caption.
