
Daisy Schrijver, the visionary behind Curves by Daisy, has dedicated 26 years to mastering the art of body contouring, driven by a singular mission: to make people feel beautiful. I recently had the opportunity to experience her exceptional work firsthand, and my life has already seen remarkable change. Daisy Schrijver knew what she wanted at an early age. “I started my training and began practicing in Colombia at only 17 years old,” Daisy shared, recounting her early beginnings. Her journey continued to New York, where she became a licensed esthetician at just 20, accumulating over 22 years of total industry experience. The core mission of Curves by Daisy extends beyond superficial changes. “We are always working with our customers to achieve their best physical appearance and mental health. Our mission moving forward is to help motivate and inspire all people to live their best lives,” Daisy affirmed. “We hope that by enhancing people’s mind and body, they will reach their goals and dreams.” She looks forward to expanding to different cities across the United States.

Daisy’s unique blend of expertise and empathetic care has attracted a clientele that includes notable figures such as Lil Kim, Ceaser Emanuel from MTV’s Black Ink Crew, Tara Wallace from Love and Hip Hop, news anchor Nicole Johnson, and Karen Gravano of Mob Wives.

Reflecting on her early inspiration, Daisy shared her innate drive to help: “What we get to grow I do is I love to see people happy… And then, you know, it meets a lot of people what they not feel confidence with a body, emotional. So I feel like I can help you to get that. Emotional insight and outside.” She began her journey independently, noting, “I always know what’s good with my hands… I started to see how the body changed from one point to the other one, so that’s getting more motivated too get more into what I do.” Her secret to convincing clients? “Listen. Listen. Listen to them one in one, and that’s how the way I know how to get to that person.”

When asked what sets Curves by Daisy apart after 26 years, Daisy pointed directly to her client-first philosophy. “I always think customer service comforts and are always wearing first about Walmart my clans want and what they’ feeling and then for now I’ go. That’s what TM makes the difference. And I make us her family.” She attributes her strong client relationships to her genuine approach: “You need to open your heart and open yourself to get to know the customer and listen to them… When I see somebody, I already know what they need. I already know exactly what you need.”

The focus on mental wellness is particularly important to Daisy. “For me, it’s very important for you to first know the customer what she wants or what he wants to be able to get to that goal because it’s not just about how the way you look outside. It’s also how the way you feel inside.” She explains, “I start first inside and then I’ll go outside. Or I’ll do both in the same side. depends,” indicating this holistic practice is also something she applies personally.
The most rewarding aspect of her work, Daisy says, is witnessing client transformations. “That’s make me enjoy because I see as working and I know that person every time I come to me, they’re more excited, more motivated, because they’re getting… That’s what made me motivate me is see the changes, the challenge, and results and see how my customer phone one level being… then come happy. And that’s why every day more. It make me feel more happy, more strong to go.”
Working with high-profile clients brings a unique “pressure,” which Daisy embraces. “I like to be. And with that pressure, because I make me get more to your goals and more motivated to do it. So I like that pressure. I like it. I like it.” Regardless of celebrity status, every client receives VIP treatment. “For me, everybody is different and special,” she asserts. “I try to customize every customer while come in here so I can have different clients at the same time, but I know every customer what they need and I take my time to come see you and make you feel like I’m there for you and this is what you need and you’re different to everybody else.”
Daisy’s assessment process is highly personalized. “Before we, you know, get to see the customer, see the pictures after them before, I walk in the room or maybe in the same time. So like that I can read it. So when I come on the room or the time to media, I already know what you need. I like to touch, see, and listen to the customers what they want and then for there I go and I tell you exactly you need.” For post-operative clients, adherence to instructions is key: “The more important part, when you have surgery and you come to us is follow up all instructions. Like, I give a lot of my customers, like homework to do… I’m very, you know, disciplined with my customers because I want the best or the best.”

Looking to the future, Daisy’s vision is clear: “I want to open a lot of Curves by Daisy. Be everywhere to help a lot of ladies, females, everything, right? And be able to teach to the new generation why know, right? So they can be the best, the best, too.” She aims to merge “old school” knowledge with “new technic.” For those struggling with body image, her message is empowering: “Never impossible, never, never. It always get to that point, ever.” Her top recommendation for newbies is the “Uper B Contour” package, designed to “snatch the waves, the arms, the back, the stomach,” emphasizing that every service is custom-built.

On the prospect of national expansion, Rob sees both challenges and opportunities. “Expansion is exciting, but it comes with challenges—finding a passionate team with the right attitude, maintaining our high standards, and making sure the brand experience remains consistent across locations are just some. However, it’s also an incredible opportunity to share our message and methods with more people.
