Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) has officially added another elite name to its roster, announcing the signing of pound-for-pound superstar, three-division world champion, and current WBC minimumweight titleholder at 105 lbs, Yokasta Valle (33-3, 10 KOs). The signing was finalized in San Jose, Costa Rica, during a press conference held at the Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica, with Valle putting pen to paper alongside MVP CEO and co-founder Nakisa Bidarian. The event was a celebration not only of her career milestone, but also of the continued rise of women’s boxing worldwide.
Valle’s sister, Naomy Valle (14-0, 9 KOs), the WBC Youth champion at 108 lbs and a recent MVP signee herself, joined her on stage, symbolizing a powerful family legacy in the sport. With the addition of Yokasta, MVP now promotes six of the top ten women’s pound-for-pound fighters globally according to Boxrec, and five of the top ten as ranked by ESPN—cementing its position as a global leader in women’s boxing.
Born in Nicaragua but raised in Costa Rica, Yokasta Valle’s story is one of resilience and determination. Her family relocated to Costa Rica in search of a better future, where she grew up in San José, developing the values that would guide her career—discipline, perseverance, and an unshakable will to succeed. From limited resources to breaking into a sport long dominated by men, Valle fought not only for her own dreams, but also to pave the way for other women in boxing.
Before turning professional, she became a two-time Central American amateur champion. In 2016, she captured her first world title, beginning a career that has since seen her collect six world titles across three weight divisions (102, 105, and 108 lbs). Known for her willingness to take on champions in their own backyards, Valle has become a globally recognized competitor and a proud advocate for equal pay in women’s boxing—achieving purse parity with male boxers in similar positions. She has held the WBC minimumweight title since November 2024, defending it with consistency and fearless determination.
Outside the ring, Valle is just as impactful. She became the first Central American world champion to run her own promotional company, Yoka Sports & Boxing Promotions, which creates opportunities for the next generation of fighters, especially women. She is also the face of major brands like Vaseline, Kolbi, Grupo Mutual, Dexketo, and Chery, and has been honored as a national sports ambassador for Costa Rica. In 2023, the United Nations recognized her as their Costa Rica Champion for her advocacy in women’s rights and migrants’ rights.
Now 32, Valle remains deeply connected to her roots and to her family, particularly her sister Naomy, who shares her boxing passion while pursuing a career as a pilot. Together, they represent a new era for Costa Rican boxing—one built on skill, heart, and the refusal to accept limits.
“Today marks a new chapter in my career, and I couldn’t be more excited to announce that I’m joining Most Valuable Promotions,” Valle said. “This signing is not just a step for me—it’s a step forward for all of Latin American women’s boxing, proving that our stories, our talent, and our passion deserve to be on the biggest stages. I’ve walked a path full of sacrifices, tough training, and battles inside and outside the ring. Every punch, every victory, and every setback has prepared me for this moment. MVP has shown they believe in women and in our ability to fill arenas and break barriers, and I’m here to leave my heart in every fight. Thank you to MVP for believing in me, to my team who never let go of me, and to all my Latino people who have supported me, no matter the distance. This new stage is for you—because together, we’re going to keep making history.”
