Soulja Boy Released After Gun Charges Dropped Due to “Insufficient Evidence”

What a break for Soulja Boy. Over the weekend, he was arrested on gun charges. On Monday, he was released from custody as charges were not officially filed due to “insufficient evidence.”

According to Rolling Stone, Soulja Boy was released before 2 p.m. local time and a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office confirmed the release.

Soulja Boy was initially arrested on Aug. 3 after a gun was found in the car he was riding in. During the traffic stop, Soulja Boy and another occupant denied being the owner of the weapon.
