“Passin’ Me By” is a song The Pharcyde, released in March 1993 through Delicious Vinyl Records. The song was the second single released from the group’s 1992 debut Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde.

The song, produced by J-Swift, utilizes samples from “Summer in the City” by Quincy Jones, “125th Street Congress” by Weather Report, and “Are You Experienced?” by The Jimi Hendrix Experience.

The group’s four emcees, Bootie Brown, Slimkid3, Imani, and Fatlip, all use the track to recount schoolboy crushes which all eventually led to heartbreak. The music video (directed by Sanji) is entirely in black and white. The rappers are seen riding in the back seat of a car or rapping behind a fence. They are upside-down compared to the rest of the world throughout the video.

Pitchfork Media’s included the song at number 41 on their Top 200 Tracks of the 90s. It ranks number 8 on HipHopGoldenAge’s Top 100 Hip Hop Songs Of The 1990s.
