Curry Brand is taking a page from the running world’s playbook, bringing the first “super shoe” to the basketball court. The new Series 7 is a next-level performance sneaker designed to match the relentless pace and explosive playing style of Stephen Curry. Combining cutting-edge innovation with a focus on speed, control, and endurance, this new silhouette is engineered for the future of the game.

The Rise of the Super Shoe

For years, “super shoe” innovation—the use of advanced materials to help athletes perform at their peak—was primarily confined to the running world. Now, Curry Brand is bringing that same mindset to the hardwood. With The Series 7, the brand aims to set a new standard for basketball footwear by fusing lightweight agility, elite responsiveness, and long-haul durability into one complete package.

The idea for the shoe was inspired by a conversation with Stephen Curry himself. “Back in 2023, we had a meeting with Stephen where he tried on a prototype running shoe featuring our latest foam,” said Gabe Hellen, Managing Director of Curry Brand. “He said it would be amazing if we could make a basketball shoe that felt like that.” This comment sparked the creation of The Series 7, a sneaker designed to withstand the grind of a playoff series without compromising on court feel or support.

Innovation Underfoot

At the core of The Series 7’s performance is a supercritical foam midsole paired with an all-new high-abrasion UA Flow™ outsole. This combination delivers an unprecedented blend of cushioning, grip, and enhanced durability. Weighing a mere 10.7 ounces, the shoe allows players to stay light on their feet while making hard cuts and accelerating with confidence.

UA Flow™ technology offers a level of traction that has redefined athletic movement. To balance this superior grip, The Series 7 features a 3D-molded external shank at the midfoot. This provides torsional rigidity and lateral stability, giving players complete control on every cut and crossover.

Lightweight Lock-In & Bold Style

The shoe’s performance is locked in from the top down with a whisper-thin mesh upper that keeps it ultralight and breathable, while a structured underlay provides strategic support. A molded tongue and lace loops ensure a tight and secure fit, allowing players to focus on their game without distraction.

Visually, The Series 7 is a statement piece. Its sleek, futuristic silhouette is defined by striking colors and metallic finishes. The sneaker allows for two-toned outsoles, with a gradient paint fade and speckled midsole adding playful visual interest. Suede underlays and metallic accents provide depth and shine, while Curry’s number “30” is subtly featured below the laces. The Curry Brand logo tops off the tongue.

Stephen Curry himself has high praise for the new shoe. “The whole concept behind the Series 7 was to create something completely new—taking that super-critical foam typically used in running shoes and bringing it to the basketball court,” he said. “The final product is, in my opinion, one of the highest-performing shoes ever made for the game. I’ve never worn a shoe that feels this light yet this sturdy… it’s the best basketball shoe I’ve ever worn.”

Taking Flight on the Curry Brand World Tour

The Series 7 is making its global debut in a bold “Curry World Tour” colorway. The sneaker will be getting court time with top athletes at Curry Camp in San Francisco and Chongqing as the Curry Brand World Tour kicks off this week. The ‘Curry World Tour’ colorway makes an immediate statement with its majestic purple mesh upper, hot pink accents, and a vibrant outsole that shifts from a breakthrough blue to a daiquiri orangey-pink with a spark of bright yellow across the midsole.
