The Underground, a new lifestyle series from Chain Link Productions, is launching an immersive graffiti and street art exhibition titled “The Book Of Five Rings.” Directed and curated by Sam Patrone, the exhibit will be on display at Trends LIC in Long Island City, from Saturday, September 13 to September 26, 2025.

The event is a celebration of the legacy, evolution, and cultural impact of the graffiti movement, drawing inspiration from the warrior spirit and quest for enlightenment found in the “Book of Five Rings” by Miyamoto Musashi. The exhibition is sponsored by MFNY, Alibi, Rove, Fernway, Off Hours, and B Noble.

The exhibit will feature work from a roster of globally renowned graffiti and street artists, including Al Diaz, KEO, L’Amour Supreme, Mad Vaillan, EXR, SJK171, MIKE171, TAKI183, and Suckadelic. The launch will also include a live musical performance by Meyhem Lauren, with DJ Heavy Hands.

Beyond the art, the exhibition is designed to be an immersive experience filled with good energy and peaceful vibes, aiming to bring love and peace to the community. Special thanks given to Trends and High Exposure Agency for their support.

Featured artist Al Diaz shared his perspective on the project, stating, “We’re busy creating a legacy before AYE EYE renders us all obsolete.”

In addition to the main exhibit, there will be an exciting schedule of two artist workshops during the exhibition’s run at Trends LIC, with dates to be announced soon.
