J Balvin Drops “Si Te Vas” Featuring Jay Wheeler from Mixteip

Global music icon J Balvin has released “Si Te Vas,” his much-anticipated collaboration with Puerto Rican star Jay Wheeler. The song and its cinematic music video are now available on all digital platforms, completing the vision of Balvin’s surprise 10-track project Mixteip.

When Mixteip dropped last month, it included a mysterious placeholder titled “Dónde Esta Jose?” instead of a final track. The move sparked curiosity and engagement across Latin America and beyond, as fans from Colombia to Argentina flooded social media with theories and submissions.

Now, Balvin answers the question with “Si Te Vas,” a melodic reggaeton ballad that highlights his vocal evolution and signature charisma. The track opens with a wistful guitar line before unfolding into an emotional rhythm, as Balvin sings with subdued intensity and Jay Wheeler adds his romantic edge.

The official music video, directed by Ximena Vargas Rocha, was filmed in New York City and captures the duo in sleek, emotionally charged visuals. Set against city lights and shadowy interiors, the video reflects the song’s mood of longing and emotional release.

“Si Te Vas” marks the final piece of Mixteip and a standout moment in J Balvin’s ever-expanding musical journey.
