Justin Bieber became the center of a viral nightclub hoax after a convincing lookalike tricked staff and partygoers at Wynn’s XS Nightclub in Las Vegas into believing the pop star had dropped in for a surprise performance.

The impersonator, who nailed Bieber’s swagger and stage presence, managed to get on stage during DJ Gryffin’s set and performed “Sorry” for more than four minutes.

The crowd went wild. So did the DJ—until he realized he’d been duped.

“I was told he wanted to perform,” Gryffin said in a video posted to Instagram on Monday (August 18). “The dark venue and loud music” made it easier for the impersonator to pass as the real deal, he added.

Gryffin, still laughing at the situation, captioned the video recap “biebergate2025” and titled it “how bustin jeiber duped me during my own set.”

The clip shows the fake Bieber hyping up the crowd, dancing with guests and soaking up the spotlight like a seasoned headliner.

Gryffin said he genuinely thought it was the pop star, adding he assumed Bieber “put on a lot of weight after the album dropped.”

The ruse didn’t last long. Once club management caught on, the faux Bieber was banned from the venue and slapped with a bill reportedly nearing $10,000 for services and table charges racked up during his brief moment of fame.

Justin Bieber has not commented on the incident.

Meanwhile, Instagram users flooded Gryffin’s comment section with jokes.

One wrote, “Is it too late now to say sorry?” Another added, “I just love that this guy had a team!” A third chimed in, “Amazing song choice by him and his ‘team’ if you think about it.”
