50 Cent was in rare form after he saw the critics response to a not so acclaim remake, and he couldn’t resist having a little fun at Ice Cube’s expense.
In case you missed it, Ice Cube’s latest project War of the Worlds earned an unforgiving 0 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes, 50 took to the Gram to poke fun at the rare cinematic misfire.
First off, do you understand how hard it is to score a ZERO on Rotten Tomatoes. To have ZERO critics champion the film. Wow.

So 50 being 50 on Wednesday, August 6, posted a screenshot of the film’s shocking score and added his signature blend of sarcasm and humor in the caption.

“How you get a 0 percent rating? Nah somebody mad at Cube. Now I’m scared to watch it LOL,” 50 wrote, clearly entertained by the internet buzz surrounding the film’s icy reception.
Anyways, War of the Worlds, which dropped on Prime Video July 30, is a 2025 sci-fi thriller told entirely through screenlife visuals. Inspired by the H.G. Wells novel, the film stars Ice Cube as Will Radford, a veteran in surveillance and threat assessment working for the Department of Homeland Security.
Directed by Rich Lee, the cast also includes Eva Longoria, Clark Gregg, Andrea Savage, Henry Hunter Hall, Iman Benson, Devon Bostick, and Michael O’Neill. Despite its big names and timely themes, early critics haven’t been impressed. As of early August, all 10 posted reviews on Rotten Tomatoes had been negative, resulting in a rare and brutal 0 percent score.
Brutality for sure.
Get this, Ice Cube has yet to respond to the chatter, but 50’s public jab adds a playful twist to what’s otherwise been a rough rollout. Whether viewers will connect with the film more than critics remains to be seen. But one thing’s clear if 50 Cent does hit play, he’s bringing jokes along with the popcorn.
Maybe we should watch it and see if that ZERO on RT is justified or nah. Stay tuned but don’t hold your breathe.
