Whelp, he has a name. Authorities have named 22 year old Tyler Robinson of Utah as the suspect in the fatal shooting of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk. Robinson is now in custody after a manhunt that stretched over several days.

Officials credited the cooperation of family and community members for bringing the search to a close. Reports state that Robinson’s father recognized him from images released by investigators and encouraged him to surrender. A family friend later contacted authorities after being told of his alleged role.
Investigators are still working to determine a motive. Early information suggests they are reviewing Robinson’s political writings and possible ideological influences, though no official conclusions have been made. Authorities have also not confirmed if Robinson acted on his own or if others may have been involved. Forensic teams continue to examine bullet casings and additional evidence connected to the case.
FBI Director Kash Patel addressed the tragedy directly, stating, “To my friend Charlie Kirk: Rest now, brother. We have the watch and I’ll see you in Valhalla.” He added that federal and local officials will continue working together for as long as necessary to ensure every lead is pursued and all responsible parties are held accountable.
