Basketball fans in New York City got an unexpected treat when NBA superstar Luka Dončić made a surprise appearance at the Foot Locker store on 181st St. The event celebrated Nike’s renowned NY vs NY streetball tournament and the launch of Jordan Brand’s ‘The One’ Tour.

Dončić brought high energy, joining local kids from community organizations including the Harlem Children’s Zone, We Got Next Sports, and Neighborhood United. Attendees enjoyed a morning filled with arcade basketball, interactive games, and live music, along with opportunities for memorable photos. To commemorate the special occasion, everyone received an exclusive Luka x NY vs NY t-shirt. A few lucky fans even got the chance to challenge the NBA star in a game and walked away with autographed mini hoop sets.

The event also served as the official kickoff for the release of Dončić’s newest sneaker: the Jordan Luka .77 ‘NY vs NY’ colorway, retailing at $115. This exclusive colorway was available for purchase first at the 181st St Foot Locker before its wider debut at the streetball tournament later that same day. The sneaker is designed to match the toughness of Dončić’s game while paying homage to the iconic home of the NY vs NY tournament with a vibrant split-color design and a commemorative hangtag. The release perfectly blended the excitement of a new sneaker drop with a celebration of local basketball culture.
