Mariah The Scientist continues her superstar rise as her smash single “Burning Blue” has officially been certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

The breakout track, featured on her latest album HEARTS SOLD SEPARATELY, has become Mariah’s biggest success to date, cementing her place as one of R&B’s brightest voices. Earlier this year, “Burning Blue” made history by becoming the first Apple Music chart-topper by a female soloist in 2025, before climbing into the Top 25 of the Billboard Hot 100.

The song’s dominance carried over to radio as well, hitting No. 1 on both Billboard’s Rhythmic Airplay and Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay charts. The momentum also gave Mariah a career milestone: her first pair of simultaneous Hot 100 entries, as her collaboration with Kali Uchis, “Is It a Crime,” also cracked the charts.

To celebrate, Epic Records President Ezekiel Lewis presented Mariah with multiple plaques at a private ceremony in Chicago earlier this month, highlighting the record-breaking success of “Burning Blue.”

With back-to-back hits, critical acclaim, and a rapidly growing fan base, Mariah The Scientist is proving that her reign in R&B has only just begun.
