Damon Dash Strikes Back At 50 Cent With Supreme Team Documentary

Damon Dash linked with Supreme McGriff Jr. to launch a documentary that challenges 50 Cent’s narrative and reclaims his voice in Hip-Hop storytelling.

Damon Dash is reclaiming control and legacy with a new documentary on the Supreme Team, a direct response to recent jabs from 50 Cent and Cam’ron over their upcoming Paid in Full series that left him out of the picture.

The Roc-A-Fella co-founder has joined forces with Kenneth “Supreme” McGriff Jr., the son of the infamous Queens drug figure Kenneth “Supreme” McGriff, to produce Supreme Truth, a documentary set to debut next month.

The project aims to retell the story of the Supreme Team from the perspective of those who lived it—something Dash says is long overdue.

“Supreme truth Documentary release date Next month. We have to tell the story the right way and the right way is For Preme and Prince to be in control of their own Narrative. I love how this manifested,” Dash said.

The move comes after 50 Cent and Cam’ron announced they were developing a new installment of Paid in Full without Dash’s involvement, despite his role in producing the original 2002 film.

That film depicted Harlem’s drug underworld and was inspired by real-life figures Dash helped bring to the screen.

Rather than respond with words, Dash is answering with a project that not only challenges the narrative but also brings him into alignment with someone from 50 Cent’s most dangerous chapter.

Supreme McGriff Sr. and 50 Cent’s history is well documented, including a long-standing beef that escalated after 50 referenced the Supreme Team in his song “Ghetto Qu’ran.” That feud reportedly led to a shooting that nearly took 50’s life.

By collaborating with McGriff Jr., Dash is making a calculated move that doubles as both a creative and symbolic strike. It’s a reminder that Dash still holds weight in Hip-Hop storytelling and isn’t afraid to confront uncomfortable truths from the culture’s past.

The documentary aims to deliver an unfiltered look at the Supreme Team’s rise and fall, with Dash using his experience in film and music to shape the project.

The partnership also sends a message to those who may have counted him out.

The release date for “Supreme Truth” is scheduled for next month.
