2K has officially unveiled sweeping updates to NBA 2K26’s popular MyTEAM mode, headlined by the historic addition of WNBA Player Cards for the first time in the franchise’s history. Players can now create rosters that combine current and historic WNBA stars with their favorite NBA legends.
“This is where competition meets a basketball fan’s wildest imagination,” said Erick Boenisch, VP of NBA Development at Visual Concepts. “We’re not only giving players the opportunity to customize their all-time dream rosters but shining a spotlight on some of the game’s most iconic hoopers.”
All WNBA Player Cards will function identically to NBA Player Cards in gameplay, attributes, and badges. The update also adds a WNBA Domination tier, uniforms, and authentic courts, with new commentary from Kevin Harlan, Greg Anthony, and Stan Van Gundy.
Other major additions include Game Changer Cards for customizable play, the return of Triple Threat Park at Night with 2v2 gameplay, and the debut of Breakout: Gauntlet, where players can only use each card once per run.
The new King of the Court, presented by AT&T, introduces $10,000 weekly cash prizes every weekend starting September 12, 2025.
NBA 2K26 also introduces All-Star Team-Up, a 10-player 5v5 co-op mode using NBA and WNBA stars. Gen 9 players will now start in the new MyTEAM Arena and can earn new REP rewards including the G.O.A.T. Hoodie Melo.
With these innovations, NBA 2K26 sets a new bar for immersive basketball gaming.
