2K announced the latest features coming to MyNBA and MyGM in NBA 2K26, launching on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. Building on the long-running franchise mode, the update delivers new ways to experience basketball management, from immersive simulations to online competition.
One of the biggest additions is MyGM Offseason Scenarios, which features 30 unique storylines set in the 2025 offseason. Players can take control of a franchise and face three team-specific challenges tied to roster history and draft position. Whether guiding the Dallas Mavericks with Cooper Flagg or shaping the future of Golden State, fans can dive into the “what ifs” of the upcoming season.
For the first time, The Playoffs Online brings public online leagues to MyNBA. Players can seed 16 playoff teams, invite up to 15 friends, or open their bracket to the community, complete with authentic playoff presentation.
Other highlights include Dynamic Banners that celebrate championships in each arena, the option for Unranked MyGM with full roster and slider customization, and MyPLAYER DNA integration to bring a personal MyCAREER star into MyNBA.
Simulation speed and logic have also been overhauled. Sims run up to 26 percent faster than last year, with three toggle options: Normal, Smarter, and Faster. Smarter sims take into account thousands of trade variables, while Faster sims prioritize speed over detail.
Another addition is MyNBA Directives, where players meet with the team governor to set expectations and budgets before the season. Completing objectives earns Facility Points that can be spent on upgrades to training facilities, arenas, and amenities. Era-specific budgets and luxury tax rules add further realism.
“We set out to make the NBA 2K26 MyNBA and MyGM a more memorable and rewarding experience for those that want to take over the league,” said Erick Boenisch, VP of NBA Development at Visual Concepts. “From competing in The Playoffs Online with friends to seeing your championship banners rise in the rafters, every detail is designed to make you feel like a true general manager building your legacy.”
