Somebody take Diddy’s phone away, or well, who ever is using his socials since he should not have access to any normal devices while in jail.
Apparently, on Friday July 25, a mysterious post popped up on the music mogul’s X account, only to vanish just as quickly. The now-deleted tweet showed nothing more than a pair of eyes emoji, but considering Diddy’s current legal storm, even a cryptic emoji has the public talking.
Like eyes emoji? Cryptic or maybe a whole lot of nothing just to get us to talk about it. Mission accomplished if that’s the case.
As first reported by our good friends at Complex, the tweet briefly appeared before being scrubbed from the timeline. Oddly enough, the post was visible only to accounts tagged in it, though no tags were publicly shown. That only added more confusion. The post marked the first update from the account since May 17, when a photo was shared featuring Diddy alongside his six children.
The sudden post sparked speculation about whether it was authored by Diddy himself or someone from his inner circle. With Combs largely silent on socials throughout his ongoing legal saga, anything posted from his account gets amplified across the web.
Currently, the former Bad Boy head is battling new civil legal troubles, including a fresh lawsuit alleging he and hotel staff were complicit in a scheme to exploit a sex worker. The filing claims hotel employees knowingly protected Combs’ identity and helped enable his actions, even using an alias, “Mr. Star,” to secure rooms.
“Hotel staff knowingly facilitated Mr. Combs’ illicit activities by reserving hotel rooms under aliases, including the name ‘Mr. Star,’ to shield Combs’ identity, granting access to private or secured areas to Combs and his JOHN DOE associates, escorting [the plaintiff] and other participants in the encounters to and from rooms, cleaning and removing paraphernalia used in the encounters, including oils, substances, and drug-related items; e. Failing to report or investigate clear signs of illegal conduct,” the accuser’s attorney reportedly stated.
His sentencing is expected later this year, possibly in early October, unless both legal teams land on an earlier date.
Wonder if we’ll see any more emojis between now and then.
