Ice Spice has been quiet on the music front lately, but she just gave fans a reason to pay attention again. The Bronx rapper who turned heads with her breakout EP Like..? and later leveled up with her debut album Y2K! last summer is teasing her next move. That first full-length not only put her on bigger stages but also featured heavy hitters like Travis Scott, Gunna, and Central Cee.
Now she’s signaling that the next wave is on deck. Pulling up on the Gram, Ice Spice previewed a new cut that flips M.I.A.’s 2012 anthem “Bad Girls.” Along with the clip, she simply wrote, “Baddie Baddie im feelin nasty .” No release date is confirmed yet, but her fans wasted no time filling the comments with excitement. One user shouted, “She’s back ,” another insisted, “Oh you have a hit on your hands,” while one more added, “And the haters were saying YOU FLOPPED .” The short snippet has already set off debates about whether a new project could be in motion.
Even with her music on pause, Ice Spice has stayed a steady headline. Earlier this year, she was spotted shopping with Sauce Gardner of the New York Jets, sparking relationship talk. Since then, the two have been seen at events together and have even interacted on socials, though neither has confirmed much directly. Their link-up at Adin Ross’ boxing event in April only gave fans more to speculate about.
When TMZ Sports asked Gardner about it back in June, he kept his response cool but respectful. “It’s still the same, for real. I ain’t trying to speak too much on it,” he said. “We just be having a good time … Two young individuals. She’s from New York, I play in New York. She’s talented, real talented at what she do. Same for me. Two people that get hated on that’s really good at what we do, so we’ve got a lot in common.”
